Arcadian's articles of incorporation were done in 2003 (the construction company actually formed in September, 2001). In the beginning, Arcadian primarily was a small custom homebuilder and remodeling company, which worked in and around Austin, Texas. President Lars Dove's vision was to build a better quality home by using higher quality products along with more durable design and system installations. This idea was not a new one, however, saying that is what you are about and actually doing it are two different things. Lars says, "I knew once people could see the quality and the systems which we incorporate into our houses, it would make their decision to use Arcadian for their construction project that much easier. Our work speaks for itself." Arcadian Inc. prides itself on customer satisfaction, doing what is right for the customer and not just saying the right things. What we do for our clients is what brings us the next one; price, quality, and service are all attainable, when you start with the basic principle that your clients and their project come first.

Arcadian Inc. was involved in a community service project and donated time and resources to the University of Texas Architecture Department on a residential project in Dripping Springs, Texas. This project involved a gracious landowner who donated his property and allowed a group of students the unique opportunity to build a ranch manager's home, getting a great hands-on education in the field. The home was green-built to provide a home as well as preserve wildlife on the ranch. Arcadian Inc. builds all of their homes to a standard of green-building, which is accepted Nation-wide.

Arcadian incorporated for several reasons, but mainly for the fact that the company began to do more and more commercial projects, which were of a larger magnitude. Arcadian Inc. has worked on projects such as the Hill Country Galleria, Seattle's Best Coffee (Now Texenza), Learning Express Toys, Wash n Dry's, and Huntington Learning Centers, to name a few. Arcadian has also built several commercial buildings, starting from excavation all of the way through finish out, including 18,000 sq. ft. of office building in the Centerlake Business Park and 16,000 sq. ft. of office warehouse in the Firehouse business park.
